| The tourist shops of Matala are very famous. The picturesque local taverns on the beach of Matala are ideal for romantic and care-free nights. Taste the local wine and raki with a traditional meal or fresh fish from the Libyan sea. |

Matala is also an ideal starting point for outings and excursions to the archaeological sites but you can also do horse riding, carting, scuba diving and playing football or basketball. |
